On Friday (2nd June), we had the pleasure of providing technical production to the brand new Sports Business Awards. The event is the brainchild of the same team who produce the highly successful, Football Business Awards.
With an estimate of over 400 guests in attendance, the ceremony was just as fantastic as its sister event. The awards have definitely cemented their spot as a welcomed entry into attendees’ calendars.
The Sports Business Awards, what is it?
For starters, the event took place at the beautiful The Brewery, in London. The awards celebrate the hard work and achievements of both individuals and companies who help to make sporting success a reality.
If the ceremony wasn’t enough to entice you, then the impressive, star-studded panel of judges might be! The judging panel is made up of CEOs from across all sports such as Joanna Adams, CEO, England Netball.
Additionally, they were also joined by individuals with the knowledge, skills and experience of sports business success and who understand the challenges you may face. Judges included World, Commonwealth and European champion hurdler, Colin Jackson. Joining him, was also five times Rowing Olympic gold medal winner, Sir Steve Redgrave, and Steve Backley, former Javelin World Record Holder.
Doing our part and going for gold
Alongside providing technical production for this event, which included designing and building a bespoke set and stage. We also sponsored an award. We’d like to say big congratulations to the lucky winner – Manchester City for the ‘Best Non-Match Use of The Venue.’
Additionally, congratulations to all the winners! Each and every one of them deserved it and it was such a pleasure to see them collect their awards.
