This year has seen another one of our key client’s event change homes with the ‘Annual Global Payments Conference and Awards’ being hosted at Jury’s Inn Hinckley Island. Despite the adverse weather conditions the delegates travelled from far and wide to attend the two day event held in the Paris Suite.
The team at Sounds Commercial always look forward to working with this client who hosts fabulously themed events every year. This year we provided a single screen rear projection set for both the conference and the awards dinner, which transformed the event space to differentiate between the two elements of the event.
The conference set drew upon the newly rebranded company logo, offering a cool blue set in keeping with the brand colours. With vibrant blue up lit curved columns, set against a black back drop, the day time set provided a modern yet chic platform for the conference delivery.
When the delegates broke for their team building activities, the Sounds Commercial crew transformed the space for the evening Masquerade Ball. The venue was transformed with a new set design featuring a striking mask on either side of the screen split into three sections and set against a twinkling star cloth backdrop. The light cast onto the set made the mask ‘pop’ out from the set adding a sense of glamour to the awards show.
During the awards each winner took to the stage to a full lighting and sound show with each winner’s track being specifically chosen for the individual. The grand finale saw the President’s Club winners take to the stage with confetti cannons being set off to add the extra wow factor to the show finale.
Entertainment on the evening was provided by aerial hoop artist, dancers and our fabulous DJ who kept the guest dancing until the early hours.
Once again we thoroughly enjoyed working alongside Global Payments to plan and implement this event, and cannot wait to see what next year’s show will bring.
