Following England’s success in the World Cup 2018, the LMA decided to host their annual President’s Dinner at the home of English football, Wembley Stadium.
Taking place in The Great Hall, the Sounds Commercial team were tasked with designing a sleek, elegant ‘TV Studio’ style backdrop for the Q and A with the current LMA President and England Manager, Gareth Southgate hosted by Gabriel Clarke.
As guests ascended the escalators towards The Great Hall, the event identity and sponsor logos lined the curved walk way to The Great Hall. Once inside, the central ultra widescreen, flanked by two widescreens and framed in LMA branded chevrons dominated the room. The elegant stage furniture was situated on a multi level curved stage, perfectly encapsulating the studio feel requested in the brief.
The technically complex show required projectors to be blended to create the ultra wide image whist using 2 additional projectors for the standard widescreens either side. The content varied from VT’s, PowerPoint’s through to stings and animations created by our in-house Studio team.
Special awards were given out to several attendees throughout the event, including a Special Achievement award presented to Arsène Wenger by Gareth Southgate.
Two show callers guided the Sounds Commercial Live Events Team and Gabriel Clarke (host) through the Q and A whilst VT’s were played at relevant intervals and at times in the background based on the flow of the questions and topics covered.
Sounds Commercial are delighted to have been the technical production partner to the LMA since 2013 and are looking forward to partnering them on their next event, the League Managers Association Annual Awards taking place in May 2019 at Grosvenor House, Park Lane.
