Our crew have just returned from the Marriott Forest of Arden where they laid on a one-day event for WISKA UK. In a change to a typical occurrence at this glorious venue we didn’t set up in the main Arden Suite, instead we turned our attention to the Aylesford Suite which posed different measurements and challenges for our technical team.

Our technicians erected an 8ft high, single screen stage set complete with screen box which incorporated an 8’ x 4’6” viewable screen area for the main screen content.  The stage set was a snug 20ft wide and lit with coloured architectural up-lighters.

The lighting specification was expanded to include a stage wash package to illuminate the presentation platform and enhance the presenters standing at the lectern which had been branded to display the client’s corporate identity. The brand was further emphasised with two foamex logo boards which sat neatly on the wings of the stage set.

The events PA system provided excellent vocal enhancement and presentation audio for this intimate gathering of 32 delegates. PC Audio was added for the client’s MacBook for presentation audio and separate audio device for background music.

WISKA UK provided a MacBook loaded with the main screen content which was connected to our 6K projector to facilitate a rear projection method. A comfort monitor with the appropriate signal distribution and cabling completed this simple but functional AV specification.

On this occasion, no technical support was required for this event and a demonstration on completion of set-up was sufficient for the client to get to grips with the operation of the AV.
