Our objective was to manage and support the technical needs of the conference, whilst also running the video content, to deliver a fully remote virtual experience. Prior to the event, our role was to advise on the best methods of achieving our clients vision for the seamless operating and transitions between various presenters, content, breakout sessions and Q&A discussions; as well as content adjustments to ensure the smooth running on the desired platform, Zoom. We were also able to assist in making sure all requirements would be fulfilled – recording, analytics, breakout sessions due to our in-depth knowledge of video conferencing platforms.

Feeding Bristol is a charity set up in response to a statement made by the Mayor of Bristol, Marvin Rees, in 2017 – ‘no child should go to school hungry’. The Feeding Bristol Conference 2021 was set up to tackle shaping Bristol’s resilient food system, and bring together key players presenting their findings on the impacts and responses to the COVID-19 crisis, from a food security perspective. The conference began with a special message from Mayor Marvin Rees.

The use of presentations, informative video content, and breakout sessions really helped the audience engage with the conference, expert speakers and the important topics and issues raised throughout. The video recording of the whole conference, chat transcript and whiteboards meant Feeding Bristol can review and action responses, informed by the experts and audience in attendance.

The biggest positive of running a fully remote virtual event, is that discussion on such important issues as food poverty do not have to be postponed until after the COVID-19 crisis, and instead can reach a limitless number of delegates who can bring about action. The delegate experience is of course different to a live in-person event, however by offering a variety of interactive elements, you can still create an engaging event, virtually.

Client Feedback:

“Thanks again for your support and input today – really appreciated.  It made the day so much easier to have you involved and not have to worry about anything tech-wise.” Feeding Bristol Board of Trustees member
