The annual Business Leader Awards are a huge event in the Sounds Commercial calendar and it’s always such a privilege to stage and so we wanted to share our excitement with you following this year’s fabulous event!
Sounds Commercial, in partnership with Business Leader Magazine, supported the event for the 7th year in a row now in terms of full staging, audio visual production and event management and the feedback was overwhelming! Celebrating the success of many incredible businesses across the South West, this year’s awards saw over 500 delegates attend the incredibly prestigious event, held at Aston Gate Stadium, Bristol. The night was hosted by journalist and broadcaster, Michael Portillo, and included a delicious 3 course dinner music afterwards to dance the night away.
Sounds Commercial were tasked with creating the staging, print, and all AV hire for this glamourous event. We created 5m banners displaying the event branding, partnerships and sponsorships that were stretched around Truss frames to create immediate impact for the delegates as they arrived via the red carpet. Print was also created for other areas around the venue to really showcase the branding and status of the event delegates were attending.
We created customised light boxes for this event, and using the front covers of previous Business Leader Magazines worked well to really set the tone of the evening as delegates enjoyed their drinks at the bars throughout the night. For the staging, we created cut out ‘BLA’ lettering to stand next to the branded lectern. With the printed backdrop and star cloth, as well as red lighting, this stage couldn’t have been more glamourous or on brand! We also had large screens alongside the stage so delegates could see the host from all angles. Lighting around the venue was key for the awards, and by using the brands red tone we set the prestigious ambience. For the awards themselves, we used a haze machine to add a touch of drama that went off as winners walked to the stage to collect their trophy.
This was also a great first event for our new Event Manager, Michelle, who also got to present the ‘Corporate deal of the year’ award!
