2019 has been a huge year for Sounds Commercial, and as the new decade rolls in we wanted to share some of our highlights with you. We love putting on a show, so here’s just a few of our favourites this year. You can watch our highlight reel on our YouTube channel.
January – March
We started 2019 with a jam-packed calendar of events, including Moto’s annual conference and awards, Night of the Stars which celebrates the best of hoteliers, The Lord Mayor’s dinner and the MAFTA’s celebrating all things Marriott. Our hires team got busy in January too, aiding venues across the country with hundreds of smaller scale events, meetings and conferences.
April – June
Spring sees the start of award season, and with that we produced and proudly sponsored the Sports Business Awards. We also worked once again with the fabulous team at Finders Keepers, we produced their re-launch event hosted by the legend himself Harry Redknapp.
Spring also saw our first international event of the year as we produced the annual IBIS Global Summit in the beautiful setting of Baveno, Italy. In keeping with the now apparent football theme of spring, we produced one of our most prestigious events of the year, The League Managers Association 27th annual presidents dinner. We think the photos speak for themselves at this wonderful event, and you can read all about it here!
July – September
As summer rolled around, we worked with SHS drinks to launch WKD’s new pink gin to market, taking over Pop World Bristol for a night of cocktails. This was a great event to show off the talents of our design and print department! Summer also saw us work with Business Innovation South on their first ever expo, held in Southampton. Providing print and branding around the venue, and even having our own stall, this was a wonderful inaugural event to be part of and we can’t wait to see it grow in 2020.
Another prestigious one for us this summer was producing the annual Business Leader Awards with our partners Ascot Group at Ashton Gate stadium, which saw businesses in the region celebrated for their successes. We loved the look and feel of this event so thanks once again for entrusting us! We also provided event services for Bodyshop and Glazing Summit for their highly anticipated conference and awards.
The summer weather also allowed us to treat some of our clients to a day at the races with our partners at Bath Racecourse, and we also had a lovely evening taking clients on a boat trip around Bristol Harbour and some of it’s best loved pubs.
October – December
Autumn/winter is probably the busiest time for us at Sounds Commercial co-ordinating a vibrant calendar of events happening all over the country! Our Live Events team found themselves all over, from Cardiff, Leicester, Birmingham,London, Exeter to Manchester producing a variety of conferences, awards, and everything in between.
We proudly provided sponsorship and event services to a range of Global Conference Network events, including the Association Excellence Awards, the London Venue and Catering Awards, and more recently their Football Business Awards in which our Marketing Coordinator Megan presented 3 awards at. We’re proud of our ongoing partnership with GCN and can’t wait to work with them again in the future.
Other key events included Gotech, which celebrated the best of tech and innovation around the UK, and Procon which celebrated the best of the construction industry and its achievements. We love working on events that allow industries the chance to shine and really shout about the work they do!
The final few months at of 2019 also saw some new additions to the team at Sounds Commercial. Our apprentice Connor, joined the team full time as our new in-house Studio Content Creator. We also welcomed Michelle into the team as a new Event Manager, and Megan as our new Marketing & Communications co-ordinator. These new faces have been an excellent addition to our team and we’re looking forward to seeing what they do next with us in 2020.
We also want to give a nod to some of the amazing charities and causes we have been involved with in 2019. From providing AV equipment at the Community of Purposes EPIC awards and Grief Encounters fundraising events, to providing event services to WWF and their conference on the climate emergency, we know the importance of our role as a business within the community. We love to give back and especially for charities that rely on events for fundraising we will always go that extra mile to show our support and make their event look fab.
Thank you once again to everyone who has worked with Sounds Commercial in 2019, we can’t wait to see what 2020 has in store for our clients and for our team!
